Look Who’s Cooking: Meet Todd English

Meet Todd English at Macy's in Downtown Summerlin on Saturday at 2:00PM.


English is a Four-time James Beard Award Winner and inductee into the James Beard’s Foundation “Who’s who in Food and Beverage in America.” Todd has Authored the critically acclaimed cookbooks The Olives Table, The Figs Table and the Olives desserts Table, and his highly anticipated fourth cookbook, Cooking in Everyday English was just released on October 11th. English has also created the record-breaking cookware line, the Todd English Collection, and host the Emmy-nominated PBS travel series food trip with Todd English.

Crazy Pita will be giving out coupons to the first 200 customers to redeem for discounted food during their next visit to any of the three locations. The restaurant will also donate all the proceeds from that day of Josh’s favorite Pita to benefit the Josh Stevens Foundation, whose goal is encouraging more kindness, more often. The Josh Stevens Foundation created in memory of Josh Stevens, a Henderson, NV boy who tragically lost his life at the age of 12 years old.

Jacques Café to Celebrate Grand Opening

Jacques Café to Celebrate Grand Opening with Special Tasting Event for Invited Guests on Nov. 18

WHAT: Grand opening event for Jacques Café, a casual American bistro in Summerlin

WHEN: Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 5:30 to 8PM.

WHERE: Jacques Café, 1910 Village Center Circle, Suite 1, (inside the northeast corner of the shopping center near Trails Center Drive and Village Center Circle), Las Vegas, Nev., 89134

Jacques Café is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. The restaurant is also available for private party rentals and can accommodate nearly 70 customers in its dining room and another 45 in its outdoor patio.


Cactus Garden Opening

Ethel M Chocolates, 2 Cactus Garden Drive, plans to host its 21st annual holiday cactus garden Nov. 14-Jan. 1. The garden is set to open from 5 to 10 p.m. daily, Admission is free. Visit ethelm.com.



Glittering Lights

5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. 
Glittering Lights, the annual drive-through holiday display, is scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, 7000 Las Vegas Blvd. North. The attraction features hundreds of light displays stretched over a 2.5-mile course and is open from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5:30 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday through Jan. 4. Admission is $20 per carload. Visitors may receive $5 off Sunday through Thursday with the donation of a bag of gently used items for Goodwill of Southern Nevada. Live nativity nights presented in partnership with the United Methodist Churches of Las Vegas are scheduled Dec. 4-6, 11-13 and 18-24. Visit glitteringlightslasvegas.com.
